About Personal Finance
The Personal Finance project has enjoyed a successful history since its initiation in 2003.
Last year the project addressed the current credit situation in society by holding workshops on financial literacy.
Personal Finance held 10 workshops at 4 community centers and 2 local high schools. The topics covered included balancing checkbooks, recognizing the difference between stocks and bonds, identity theft, and tax laws.
In order to measure the impact of the project, project members administered both pre-tests and post-tests, where the project saw a remarkable 75% increase in scores.
